Apple Business: Apple's All-in-One Platform for Enterprise Device and Brand Management
Apple Consolidates Business Tools into One Platform
Apple has announced Apple Business, a unified platform launching April 14 across 200+ countries, consolidating three existing services — Apple Business Connect, Apple Business Essentials, and Apple Business Manager — into a single offering.
Key Features
Built-in Mobile Device Management:
- Cryptographic separation of work and personal data
- Automated Managed Apple Account creation via Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID integration
- User group management with custom roles and app distribution
- Admin API for large-scale deployments
Brand and Location Management:
- Unified brand profiles across Apple Maps, Wallet, and Siri
- Rich place cards with photos, hours, and custom actions
- Location insights showing how customers discover and interact
- Branded communications in Mail and Wallet
New Revenue Stream — Maps Advertising:
Starting this summer, businesses in the U.S. and Canada can place local ads on Apple Maps during key search and discovery moments.
Impact on Existing Services
All three predecessor services will be discontinued once Apple Business launches. Business Essentials customers will no longer be charged monthly device management fees after April 14.
Strategic Significance
This represents Apple's most aggressive move into enterprise and small business markets. By bundling MDM, brand management, and potentially advertising into a single free platform, Apple is positioning itself as the default business infrastructure for the Apple ecosystem — directly competing with Microsoft Intune and Google Workspace for device management dominance.
